Day Habilitation Program

Day Habilitation services provide day and individualized activities that support the differently-abled adults’ definition of a meaningful day. These services enable them to increase or maintain their capacity for independent functioning and decision-making. The day consists of individual programming or small group settings to promote acquisition, retention, or improvement in self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills. This program takes place outside of the primary residence and inside the community.

Day Habilitation Programs is a specialized program featuring one to four settings, where adults with similar interests and skills can exercise true independence. The areas include hygiene maintenance and care, navigating transportation in the community, identifying areas of interest, schedule outings related to areas of interest, and building intra-personal relationships. The program offers adults with differing abilities to explore more choices in activities and other related interests.
